   In response to our Views “Inspiration Close at Hand” contact for paintings produced in artists’ gardens or other own areas, we acquired these two photographs from artist, Nancy Paris Pruden. Though inspiration can be located considerably and broad, a lot of of us have located “diamonds in have backyard”, specifically through the confinement of the pandemic. There can be good artistic gains to painting a much more intimate and particular earth during the adjustments of mild and year.

    Pruden writes about Front Property Backyard garden (above) “The back garden is this kind of a riot of shade and styles it was complicated to organize a composition until finally I decided to make one dominant flower up close and massive. That way I could believably range designs to get a pure emphasis.”

   “In English Backyard, I tried using to manage it by making a subtle grid applying an “X ” composition. Utilizing described darkish and light-weight styles with any luck , kept the painting from currently being just a jumble of coloration. I imagine organizing a yard is as substantially an artwork sort as portray it.”

   Inspiration for these functions comes from summers spent at Pruden’s son’s San Rafael, California gardens. Pruden is a classically trained, lifetime-lengthy Texas artist.
