Coming soon to SF: Bruce White’s “ICONS”
Spoke Artwork is ecstatic to be asserting our future exhibition in San Francisco, artist Bruce White‘s ICONS. Equipped with a new crop of velvet canvases, Bruce has created a assortment of iconic portraits featuring champions of humanity and inclusivity.
From pop culture giants to politicians preventing for positive modify, this exhibition is a true celebration of the differences that can be created when diversity is championed. Bruce had this to say about the inspiration driving this series, “The earliest identified black velvet paintings have been introduced back again by Marco Polo from Kashmir. For the reason that the fabric was so costly, it was reserved only for portraits of royalty and spiritual icons, subjects of reverence and worship. I want to elevate and equate these heroes and allies of the LGBTQ motion to the stage of royalty and sainthood, celebrating the range that shapes our well known lifestyle. “
