“Dystopian Bouquet” by Artist Jason Parker

A selection of paintings from artist Jason Parker (previously highlighted listed here). Initially from New Zealand but now dwelling in Melbourne, Australia, Parker’s work is intended to be ambiguously evocative and emotive, capturing dreamlike times and feelings that language fails to convey. His most current perform seeks to subtly categorical his views and inner thoughts on the point out of the earth.

In his most recent exhibition, “Dystopian Bouquet,” Parker explores what drives our resourceful dreams, especially in moments of strife. Touching on the perception of hope and optimism with which creativity tends to be involved — its skill to bridge divides or become a auto for rebirth — the series displays on “our obvious need to have to invoke a imaginative reaction in moments of despair, chaos, and existential threats”:

“Colourful solitary figures are a conduit of expression contrasted from their bleak dystopian-like environment. Located in visually dense scenes comprehensive with strewn artifacts, floral elements, and Jason’s reoccurring pixelation are all vying for our focus a great deal as we discover our focus fragmented by the sound of our existing tradition.
