Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Hialeah Campus offers “Stories of the All-natural and Unnatural Environment“, an art exhibit curated by Noor Blazekovic and that includes artist Jeanne Jaffe opening Monday, Oct. 3, by Monday, Dec. 5. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 4 – 9 p.m. The opening and exhibition are absolutely free and open to the general public by appointment only.
Jaffe is a multi-disciplinary artist working in installation, sculpture, and stop movement animation. Her do the job is affected by an curiosity in language, literature, psychology, and history and explores how we assemble identity, our globe and our benefit programs. She is Professor Emeritus of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is the receiver of fellowship grants from the Gottlieb Foundation, the Nationwide Endowment for the Arts, the Mid Atlantic/NEA. the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts among other people.
Jaffe’s operates have been exhibited nationally and internationally at the Pennsylvania Academy of High-quality Art Museum, the Seokdang Museum of Art in Korea, Doral Artwork Museum, Coral Springs Museum of Art, Delaware Artwork Museum, Hillwood Art Museum, Mino Washi Ikari. Museum in Japan, Michener Art Museum, The Royal Scottish Academy of Edinburgh, Scotland, Girl’s Club in Fort Lauderdale, IS Projects, Hollywood Art and Tradition Centre, and the Arts Warehouse. Her work has been reviewed extensively, which includes in Artwork in The usa, the New York Times, and Sculpture Magazine.
Her work is involved in private and public collections in Pennsylvania Academy of Artwork Museum, Philadelphia, Pa., Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick, N.J, the Francie Bishop Very good and David Horvitz Collection in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. the Abington Sculpture Back garden, Abington, Pa., Rutgers Heart for Innovative Printmaking, New Brunswick, N.J, and Museum of Ceramics at Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y.
